Our Weekly
Sunday Services
St Philip’s has a weekly Sunday service at 10.30am for about 90 minutes, finishing around12.00pm. Everyone is invited to stay for tea and coffee after the service.
In general, the service pattern is:
1st Sunday – Holy Communion
2nd Sunday – Holy Communion
3rd Sunday – Service of the Word (Morning Worship)
4th Sunday – Holy Communion
5th Sunday – Holy Communion
We have groups for 4-11s on Sundays, and a group for 11-15s on 3rd Sundays. We worship together, inter-generationally, for major feasts and special occasions.
St Philip’s services are marked by the following:
-
Anglican roots: liturgically-shaped, lectionary-focused, seasonally-informed
-
Bi-focal: an emphasis on Word and Sacrament (Holy Communion)
-
Engaging music: joyful and lively, we sing lots, drawing on a wide repertoire from diverse eras and styles
-
Informal and real: we want people to feel comfortable and able to connect with God and others. While Anglican, we do not robe.
-
Welcoming to newcomers: an emphasis on fellowship during and after services, we want people to feel welcome
Children &
Young People
Our vision is to see children and young people become lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. Through worship, discipleship, and evangelism we aim to nurture faith from infancy to adulthood, support families, and grow a younger church.
We provide age-appropriate teaching, youth discipleship, school engagement, and opportunities for children and young people to participate fully in church life.
We aspire for one-third of our Sunday congregation to be under sixteen, reflecting our commitment to raising a new generation of worshippers, disciples, and witnesses to Christ.

What we do
- We have both a creche and children's area at the back of church.
- We have a group for 4-11s during the church service every week in school term time.
- We regularly visit the local primary schools to support with collective worship, RE lessons, and general support.
- We have a thriving Youth Group. There is a weekly youth connect group on Tuesday evenings from 7-8.30pm in the church hall.
Youth also participate on Sundays.
Information available on request.

Welcome to Our Father’s House ministry, a place where faith meets with recovery on a transformative journey.
Embracing the 12 steps, we are a Christian ministry bridging the gap between the church and recovery fellowships, guiding addicts towards a profound, life changing relationship with Jesus.
We are a welcoming and Bible believing community.
We invite you to discover healing, redemption, and a life full of meaning and purpose, through a relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, through His Spirit and Word, and the work of the 12 steps.
We are here to support addicts in every step of their recovery process.
